198 Corvettes and a Weekend of Fun Raises Big Money for a Great Cause [PHOTOS]
4th Annual “Corvettes on the Columbia” raised $40,000 for the “Make-A-Wish” foundation. With construction underway at McCurley Chevrolet the Friday afternoon staging area for the cruise was moved to the Southridge Sports Complex. From there the Washington State Patrol escorted the KOOL Chevrolet’s on a participant’s Corvette cruise to “Desert Wind” winery in Prosser.
Saturday from 9-4p in the east end of Columbia Park 198 Corvettes were gleaming in the sun as participants and spectators enjoyed a revved-up day in the park.
The Clover Island Inn was the headquarters and location for the nearly $40,000 check presentation to the “Make-A-Wish” foundation followed by comedy and concert on Clover Island Saturday night.
