It is time to celebrate our nation’s independence with BBQ, Hot Apple Pie and Fireworks. If you live in Pasco, Kennewick, unincorporated parts of Benton County, West Richland, or Franklin COunty you cannot light off fireworks. If you are caught you could be subject to a minimum $250 fine.
The big shows this year will be at GESA Stadium home of the Tri Cities Dust Devils for their free show. You can also load up the family and take them to Columbia Park for the River Of Fire. You will pay $7 per carload to get a viewing spot down on the river.
So if you can light fireworks, follow these simple rules
1. Use only Safe & Sane Fireworks (Cones, Fountains, etc. No Rockets)
2. Use a bucket of water to douse your firework remains
3. Have a water hose close by in case a firework gets loose
